Have you got your settings right?

Operating systems, programs, apps and social media – they all offer myriads of setting options which seem to increase with just about every update. Don’t get lost in the settings jungle.

No matter whether Windows 10, Google Chrome, Facebook or Instagram is involved: As far as finding the “right” settings is concerned, it is easy to get completely lost in the immense range of options. Small wonder, since every update comes with additional options. Users however are often quite unaware of any new features, since most programs and websites automatically make a preset choice for them.

If you open an option menu for yourself, you are often confronted by an overwhelming choice of setting options. And probably find that those preset default values are not exactly the optimum ones. It is often highly advisable to make adjustments, mainly for security and data protection reasons.

So that you don’t get completely lost and can no longer see the forest for all those trees in this settings jungle, our instructions provide you with specific recommendations for topics such as Windows and browsers plus social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
