Pay Attent!on: Together against payment fraud

With “Pay Attent!on”, the financial sector and police are combining resources in the fight against phishing, scams and other types of payment fraud. “eBanking – but secure!” (EBAS) has been instrumental in creating this new national prevention initiative, applying their long years of experience with fraud prevention to the campaign. EBAS will also be actively involved in operating Pay Attent!on and on their board in the future.

Today, the 8th September 2026, the new “Pay Attent!on” association commences its activities. They aim to protect the public even more effectively against payment fraud with the aid of joint, nationally coordinated prevention campaigns. To this end, existing initiatives and the know-how of a variety of actors from the financial sector and the police will be combined.

EBAS as a vital partner

EBAS has been closely involved in the creation of Pay Attent!on right from the start. Their long years of expertise with awareness campaigns and prevention all around financial scams such as phishing, social engineering and secure e-banking are directly integrated into this new national initiative this way.

EBAS will also play an active role in Pay Attent!on – both in ongoing operations and on the board of this association. This means that EBAS’ long years of prevention work will remain an important part of any joint activities against payment fraud.

Joint presence from 2027

Existing prevention activities by EBAS and Card Security will continue to run separately until the end of 2026. From 2027 onwards, Pay Attent!on intends to launch joint prevention campaigns. The aim is a presence coordinated nationwide, with clear messages and a wider reach.

Pay Attent!on will therefore be uniting the forces of  SwissDebitPay, Swiss Payment Association, Schweizerische Bankiervereinigung and the police – and in EBAS, also the long years of experience gleaned from prevention work.
