Awareness of current types of fraud and risks involved in digital payment transactions was once again central to the activities of “eBanking – but secure!” (EBAS) in 2025. We employed a successful awareness campaign, new website content and interactive offers to once again reach out to a broad public and inspire people to apply preventative measures.
The “No good story begins like this” awareness campaign.
One focal point in 2025 was our “No good story begins like this” awareness campaign. This campaign – actively supported by numerous banks and partner organisations and distributed via social media – addressed different kinds of scams across a variety of subjects.
Over the course of the year, we addressed subjects such as fake letters, marketplace fraud, romance scams, social engineering and deepfakes. Our articles reached a wide public, motivating people to extensively engage on LinkedIn and Facebook.
New and revised content on our website
In parallel with our campaign, we continuously published new articles or updated existing content on our EBAS website, with the aim of informing the public of current risks of fraud in a practical manner and conveying specific tips for action. Amongst others, our newly published articles included some on:
- Online marketplace fraud

Competition und self-test on the subject of secure mobile banking
Late in autumn 2025, we focused on the subject of secure mobile banking. From early November to mid-December, we made a quiz available on our website in four languages, accompanied by a competition. A total of 916 people participated.
You can still find the mobile banking self-test (without the competition element) here: https://www.ebas.ch/en/mobilebankingcheck
EBAS on social media
Once again, EBAS was an active presence on LinkedIn and Facebook in 2025. With the help of these channels, we shared campaign content, new articles and current tips with a wide audience:
