Received a phishing mail or found a phishing website? Report them to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to help protect other Internet users.
Cyber criminals use phishing to try and obtain personal Internet user data. This could for instance involve credentials to access e-banking facilities, e-mail or social media accounts, or credit card information.
Report phishing attempts
By reporting phishing attempts you contribute to protecting other Internet users. Your report helps block a phishing website more quickly or take it off the Internet completely. This stops other recipients of such a phishing attempt from potentially providing their data and reduces the risk of cyber-criminals succeeding.

What happens after a report is submitted?
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) will check your report and then inform the web hosting provider responsible and the website owner, requesting them to take the fraudulent website off the Internet. In addition, any phishing websites reported are made available to IT security providers, web browser suppliers and blacklist operators to ensure maximum protection of all Swiss Internet users.
NCSC is no law enforcement agency, and therefore no police investigations are undertaken in connection with reported phishing attemps. The NCSC is tasked with defending against acute risks to information security and not with the pursuit of perpetrators. In case you have suffered adverse effects caused by phishing, we would recommend reporting an offence to your cantonal police station.
