It’s that time again: From 15th September to 14th October 2026, this year’s card security campaign will be back for its second round. Under the motto of “LINDA protects against phishing!”, Card Security is once again drawing attention to the dangers of phishing and card fraud.
Phishing is one of the most common types of fraud in the digital environment. Using fake e‑mails, text messages or websites, fraudsters are trying to obtain sensitive data such as passwords, card details or security codes. In the process, it only takes one careless click to throw the gates wide open for fraudsters.
LINDA helps you recognise phishing attempts
Fisherwoman LINDA conveys the most important rules of conduct when handling suspicious messages in a simple and memorable manner:
L = Links and attachments should be diligently checked
I = Information should be critically assessed
N = Neutral forms of address should raise suspicion
D = Deadlines and urgency should be scrutinised
A = Addresses of senders should be checked
Using these five rules, you can recognise suspicious messages more quickly and protect yourself against phishing more effectively.
