The most important browsers used on the Internet are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari.&lt;\/div&gt;\n\"  data-mobile-support=\"0\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>browser<\/span> for all their areas of application, something which usually works just fine. Still, using multiple browsers could have some advantages, particularly for security and data protection purposes.<\/p>\n<p>The basic idea is a simple one: Every <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Browser&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;A special computer program to display websites on the World Wide Web (WWW) or data and documents in general. The most important browsers used on the Internet are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari.&lt;\/div&gt;\n\"  data-mobile-support=\"0\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>browser<\/span> can be configured differently &ndash; depending on the area of use you can make it particularly secure or as comfortable to use as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple browsers make sense especially if you use the same device for professional and private reasons, if you are using sensitive services such as online banking or important accounts or if you would intentionally like more control for data protection purposes.<\/p>\n<p>However, this strategy also has some drawbacks: Next to the initial effort required to set them up, all browsers you use have to be kept up-to-date. In addition, this method does not replace any basic protective measures like strong passwords, an up-to-date and securely configured <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Operating system&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;A program run on a device to manage system resources, such as processor, storage media and input and output devices, and which offers these resources to application programs (software). Some well-known operating systems are Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.&lt;\/div&gt;\n\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes=\"[{&quot;attribute&quot;:&quot;data-cmtooltip&quot;, &quot;format&quot;:&quot;html&quot;}]\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">operating system<\/span> with antivirus facility or regular data back-ups.
