This aims to present people, places or events in such a way that makes you believe they are real, although they have been faked or are totally fictitious.&lt;\/div&gt;\n\"  data-mobile-support=\"0\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>deepfake<\/span> technologies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Deepfakes involve image, video or audio content created by Artificial Intelligence. Amongst others, such technologies enable criminals to impersonate legitimate bank customers and therefore access their accounts or apply for credit.<\/p>\n<p>They use two main methods to do so: presentation attacks and injection attacks. With presentation attacks, an identity is faked with the help of masks, make-up or by playing a <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Deepfake&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Deepfake is the term used to describe realistic-looking media content such as photos, videos or audio files which have been either manipulated or completely created with the help of Artificial Intelligence. This aims to present people, places or events in such a way that makes you believe they are real, although they have been faked or are totally fictitious.&lt;\/div&gt;\n\"  data-mobile-support=\"0\"  data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex='0' role='link'>deepfake<\/span> video in real time, to circumvent security checks this way. With injection attacks on the other hand, non&#8209;trustworthy content such as <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Deepfake&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Deepfake is the term used to describe realistic-looking media content such as photos, videos or audio files which have been either manipulated or completely created with the help of Artificial Intelligence. This often involves onboarding programs by banks or fintech companies.<\/p>\n<p>Banks and financial service providers are continuously working on new security measures to hamper <span class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Deepfake&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Deepfake is the term used to describe realistic-looking media content such as photos, videos or audio files which have been either manipulated or completely created with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
