Brush your teeth after you have eaten – clear your browser cache after any e-banking session. Both should be second nature!
You should not simply close your browser or shut down your computer when you have finished your e-banking! To make sure you don’t offer attackers any route of entry, it is vital to observe the two points below:
- Terminating your e-banking session
Terminate your e-banking session correctly via the function provided for it (usually marked by the terms «log off», «log out» or «exit»).
- Clearing your browser cache
Every time you log out of any e-banking sessions, please clear your browser cache. You will find suitable instructions for the most common browsers here.
You can also clear your browser cache using «CCleaner» or a similar cleaning utility. However, please be careful: Any improper use of this software could seriously damage your system!
