“With LINDA against phishing!” – This is the motto of the “Card Security” campaign, a joint initiative of the police and financial sector all around card security. Fisherwoman LINDA will help you to remember the most important rules of conduct when using debit or credit cards.
Each letter of LINDA’s name stands for a mnemonic helping you to recognise phishing:
L = Links and attachments should be diligently checked
I = Information should be critically assessed
N = Neutral forms of address should raise suspicion
D = Deadlines and urgency should be scrutinised
A = Addresses of senders should be checked
