Encryption Trojans are still as popular as ever, and many companies still consider them the biggest threat to the digital world currently. And private individuals don’t escape this threat either and should therefore protect themselves accordingly.
Increased activities involving the notorious “Emotet” botnet have been observed once more as currently as the end of January. In the past, this has for instance been abused to distribute ransomware, before the prosecution authorities managed to break it up.
