Attacks involving a security gap in the Microsoft Exchange Server once again demonstrate the importance of updating your systems promptly.
Because when this update was eventually announced, this gap – already public since the beginning of March – had already been actively exploited. Experts call this a “zero day gap”, i.e. a vulnerability which is exploited before there is an update to counteract it.
